We are constantly looking for top quality professional commercial vehicle drivers. Duties include the safe loading, transporting and offloading multiple types of bulk liquid petroleum products to include diesel, gasoline and fuels in and around the great state of Alaska. We also have loads into the Yukon. We offer health insurance, life insurance and 401K options.
Requirements for this position are a class A CDL with tanker and hazmat endorsement, a clean driving record and a good CSA score. It’s not required but would be a big plus if you had experience in hauling hazmat, pulling double tankers, using traction devices I.E. chains, differential locks and power dividers, also driving experience in adverse weather conditions and steep grades.
All applicants must be able comply with all city, state, Federal and Municipal regulations. Applicants must pass a pre-employment background checks and a drug test. After an offer of employment, you must pass a physical abilities test.
Mechanic / Technician
We are always in demand for experienced qualified journeyman and apprentice CMV mechanics. Under direct supervision, maintains and repairs diesel and gasoline industrial trucks, other industrial machinery and equipment, facility and grounds machinery and tools, and other related equipment associated with commercial motor vehicles and equipment to include trucks and trailers. Completes inspections and preventive maintenance requirements; correcting vehicle/equipment deficiencies; adjusting, alignments and keeping records. Maintains and lubricates tools and equipment, may change engines, transmission, differentials, tires, batteries and other parts associated with industrial equipment.
Two to three years related experience with gasoline and diesel engines and other parts and accessories associated with commercial motor vehicles and equipment, and or commercial motor vehicle trailer repair. Position requires technical understanding, attention to detail, dependability, thoroughness, verbal communication, documentation skills, inventory control and job knowledge.
I used to provide independent trucking services for BSL. My job was to haul fuel to all points in Alaska – mostly between Valdez & Prudhoe Bay. I was an Ice Road Trucker before most of the public even knew what that meant. Dangerous, high stress working environment, but wonderful people to work for.
